We finally know the winners of our Polish competition – Business and Management Championships.

The 2023 edition of our Business and Management Championships competition was a huge success – it attracted a record number of 340 teams from all over Poland! The final round of this year's edition took place on January 11, 2024, in the Trading Hall of the Stock Exchange. In this final event we had nine teams that achieved the best results during the eliminations.

In the final round, participants had the opportunity to feel like real leaders of a digital marketing agency. They were selling services ranging from designing graphics and online marketing to software development. The whole experience was something more than just a game – providing a realistic introduction to the business world, fostering strategic thinking and understanding the market. It was not only learning but also excellent preparation for future professional challenges.

FINAL ROUND

Early in the morning, teams arrived fully prepared for the final to compete in the advanced version of the digital marketing agency simulation. They had a unique challenge ahead of them – they were going to play six decision-making rounds in the game, demonstrating decision-making skills, critical thinking and teamwork.

9 best teams competed for the title of the best virtual managers. The competition was organized by Revas Business Simulation Games and by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science.

VIRTUAL BUSINESS, REAL SKILLS THROUGH SIMULATIONS

During the Business and Management Championships competition, students used an advanced version of the digital marketing agency simulation. This interactive game allowes students to experience the realities of running a business. The simulation is divided into monthly rounds, during which participants manage a virtual company, making decisions about hiring employees, setting salaries, investing in advertising, and determining prices, providing practical business experience.

THEORY MEETS PRACTICE: TEACHERS ABOUT THE VALUE OF BUSINESS SIMULATIONS

In the Business and Management Championships competition, students had a unique opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in realistic business simulations. Teachers emphasize that the key goal of participating in the competition was not only to develop entrepreneurial skills but also to show young people how theory translates into practice in the real business world.

„I believe that industry-specific business simulations are the best complementary tool for the business studies courses. It is practical business learning, but also, what is coolest and most interesting for students, it is a competition between students.” – says Katarzyna Różalska, a high school teacher from Zabrze.

„The participation of my students in the competition is primarily a combination of theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge. The main goal of using a business simulation game was to show students that the knowledge they acquire in business studies classes can be used practically while running a company in business simulations.” – says Beata Szymura, a high school teacher from Pleszew.

„We will implement business simulation games in subsequent years as a pedagogical innovation on a business studies course. Simulations will diversify this course and allow students to practically implement content and thus develop their business skills.” – says Stanisław Marchiel, a high school teacher from Sokółka.

The finalists of the Business and Management Championships competition, in addition to gaining valuable experience and developing managerial skills, received attractive prizes. The prizes included electronic gadgets and business-themed books, which were awarded to both participants and their teachers.
